The Central Arcade – Newcastle

The Central Arcade was opened in 1906. It forms a triangle with entrances on Grey Street, Market Street and Grainger Street. Amongst the shops to be found in the arcade is JG Windows, a specialist music store which opened in 1908 and is one of the United Kingdom’s oldest music stores. Even though the rest of the shops are quite modern, the arcade still has the elaborate splendor of Edwardian times.
